I’m sure you’ve all heard of Internet Explorer – the Microsoft browser that comes with any Windows PC. The YPRL PCs all have an alternative web browser available for use – Mozilla Firefox (you can check out this cute animation advertising Firefox if you like
Mozilla are a global community who believe in the power of technology to enrich people’s lives, and as a result they enable open source software (free code!) to enable some of the most innovative tools on the web. Firefox is a result of that philosophy.
But one of the best features of Firefox is the Add-ons.
Add-ons are “extras” such as toolbars, themes and search providers that assist you to perform ordinary and regular tasks in your web browser. For example, the Delicious add-on allows you to (once signed in) add a webpage to your delicious account by a handy button in your web browser.
